There are numerous paths to forming supportive social connections right here in the Klamath Basin. Here are 10 local possibilities as you start or continue your parenting journey.
 
Read along
Klamath County Library branches host free programs for babies, toddlers and parents. It’s never too early to introduce children to reading. Show up for one of the many baby & toddler groups. Visit https://klamathlibrary.org/calendar and choose the branch closest to you to filter events.
Walk with others
There are many local walking groups you can join that meet all over the county. Call Sky Lakes Wellness Center at 541-880-2770 or visit the calendar on HealthyKlamath.org
Feed Together
Sky Lakes Lactation Services offer a variety of support services such as at-home visits, feeding support groups, and education. An Infant Feeding Support Group meets at 2421 Washburn Way Suite F from noon to 2 pm on the 3rd Tuesday of each month and is open to breastfeeding and bottle feeding parents. Take Root

Earn While You Learn
Join a free Group Pregnancy & Parenting Class at Pregnancy Hope Center. Call 541-883-4357 to learn more. Learn about soothing a crying baby, bonding, and infant hygiene while you earn useful resources for baby such as strollers, swings, diapers and clothes.
Have a Little Faith
Call your favorite church and see what group activities are available and when they meet throughout the week. Different churches use various names such as life group, small group, family fellowship, branch group or Bible study. Ask which activities provide free child care.

Welcome a Mentor
Healthy Families of Oregon is a home-visiting program that provides education and mentoring on infant care and community resources in the comfort of your own home. Call KBBH Healthy Families at 541-883-1030 to see if you are eligible for this free program.
Get Special Attention
Klamath County Public Health offers Babies First and CaCoon so you can receive free in-home visits from a nurse who knows how to specially care for you and your baby. Call Public Health at 541-882-8846 for more information. (Must be on Oregon Health Plan to be eligible.)
