Focus Group Videos
To continually monitor and evaluate progress of our community health, local OHSU nursing students investigate community strengths and needs in various communities throughout Klamath County. The statistics on Klamath County tell us very little about the stories behind the numbers. The videos below provide community input and a wider understanding of health throughout Klamath County.
During Spring 2016 the students partnered with the Klamath Health Equity Coalition to learn about minority populations and their health needs. They focused on people with disabilities, veterans, and the Hispanic population. Their videos are available here.
During Spring 2015 the students conducted focus groups with local youth at four high schools. Their videos are available here. You can also view the full, combined report here.
During the 2014 Spring semester, the students returned to the outlying communities of Bonanza, Chiloquin, Keno, Malin, and Merrill. The videos are available here.
During Spring 2013, the students held focus groups, conducted key informant interviews, and collected primary data within the city limits of Klamath Falls. The videos are available here.
In 2012, the students held focus groups in Merrill, Keno, Midland, Malin, Chiloquin, and Bonanza. The 2012 videos are available on here.
